Description kalabankro 2021-03-19 08:58:02 UTC
SUMMARY

When searching for a file/file content in Dolphin, no results are displayed in the "From Here" tab. Results from all folders are displayed when I click "Your files". I have many files and this makes locating a file very tedious. I want to search for files in only the current sub-folder.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Dolphin and press Ctrl + F
2. "From Here" is the default location
3. Type a search term. This gives zero results
4. Click "Your files". Hundreds of results are displayed instantly.
OBSERVED RESULT
No results are displayed when the search location is "From Here". Hundreds of results are displayed when the search location is changed to "Your files"

EXPECTED RESULT
Dolphin should display search results from the current folder when the search location is "From Here".

There's a similar report here Bug 439438

This happens when you have folders on a different device (mounted in /etc/fstab) and you have a symbolic link to it...
