Description Davide Coppola 2021-03-17 13:51:20 UTC
SUMMARY
When I try to use "Position and zoom" or "Zoom pan" effects on a video and then I export it scaled, any zoom/pan is lost in the final rendering.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create any 1920x1080 project
2. Add a video clip
3. Apply a "Position and zoom" effect to the clip
4. Render the video as mp4 and rescale to 600x337

OBSERVED RESULT
The rendered video is scaled down to 600x337, but it has no zoom applied to it.

EXPECTED RESULT
A rendered video that's scaled and that keeps all the effects applied to it.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 20.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0

Hi and thank you for your patience.

Can you please check whether this issue still exists in the latest version 24.12.0? Please note that the Position and Zoom effect has known issues with artifacts during rendering. It is recommended to use the Transform effect instead.

If yes, please update this report to reflect the new version.

If it works now like you expect it would, you may change the status of this report to RESOLVED - FIXED.

At any rate, this report will be closed if there is no activity for the next 30 days.

Tested with Kdenlive 22.04.3 and now the rendered video comes out like expected.
