SUMMARY I am using KDE neon(testing). In wayland mode, x11perf -shmputxy10 caused xwayland exit, if I disabled glamor accleration by XWAYLAND_NO_GLAMOR=1. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add XWAYLAND_NO_GLAMOR=1 in /etc/environment, then reboot 2. Enter plasma with wayland mode 3. run x11perf -shmputxy10 in konsole OBSERVED RESULT xwayland exit SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: kde neon testing KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2
What makes you suggest this is a kwin issue rather than an xwayland issue?

I have tested this issue in different wayland compositor like mutter and sway, only kwin has this issue. Here are some of my findings: In kwin, wl_connection_flush is failed with EAGAIN as socket buffer is full, then connetion to xwayland will be closed. In xwayland, sending requset is failed as connetion was closed then exit is called.
I can also reproduce this issue when running weston, not only kwin.
