SUMMARY

Clipboard has empty entries. These entries are not blank spaces but actual empy entries. You can't do anything with empty entries so they should not be there.

OBSERVED RESULT

I consistently see empty entries in the clipboard manager.


EXPECTED RESULT

Empty entries can't be used they are neither blank space nor new lines so they should not pollute the clipboard.

I can confirm this bug on wayland only. Since the reported information do not provide the graphics platform, I will mark this bug as a wayland issue.

@Sudhir can you please elaborate regarding the used graphics platform?

I can reliably reproduce this issue on wayland when copying some text from konsole. In this case an empty entry always appears beneath the actual copied text.

So you are experiencing this on X11 only, right? Do you have the "Prevent empty clipboard" setting checked?

I am running into this problem on X11. I have no knowledge or experience of this issue on Wayland whatsoever.

It was enabled before but I have unchecked it and I continue to see an empty entry in the clipboard manager.
