When latte-dock is launched without any argument e.g. from the App launcher, and without any view, the default layout should be used. https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/m58thx/latte_dock_question_opening_a_new_dock/
* without any view in the case the user removed all the views The first thing he is likely to try is to restart/relaunch latte without any argument as said above.
Or maybe latte should prevent the user from removing the last view, because if the last view is removed, there is no way to create a new one.
Or is there any way to add a new item into Plasma's context menu > Add panel?
(In reply to trmdi from comment #3) > Or is there any way to add a new item into Plasma's context menu > Add panel? https://streamable.com/aoufzm Then latte will process it... ?
No more workarounds etc. The user can load default layout from command line with --default-layout parameter in the future in Layouts Editor there will be a Docks/Panels subdialog that can use. To access Latte Dialog the user can use Meta+W For the desktop scenario right click only dbus could be used and I could accept patches on that direction.

that is fixed by triggering layouts editor if Latte is already running
