SUMMARY On RC, Ctrl+K searches on all the user's directory, channels, discussions, etc, already opened or not, depending on the visibility of the user's permissions. On ruqola seems to search just in the opened chat list. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Make a search agains for example, a user who you didn't chat yet OBSERVED RESULT You won't find any result, in order to start a chat with a user who you didn't chat before is opening a new channel and invite that user, then, there you will start typing the user's name, and it will autocompleted. EXPECTED RESULT Ctrl+K should search in all the directory of chats, and depending the visibility of each channel will be shown all matching channels/discussions and users. We have "Search channels" dialog. So indeed it doesn't work as RC+
It is curious how there are two "Search Channels" with different meaning: - Search Channel menu searches both on the non-opened users and channels/discussion chats (the later I cannot confirm because I cannot see on the search results the group channels nor discussions I'm on) - Search Channel hotkey searches on the opened list of users, groups and discussions I think those terms are confusing and search hotkey should also search globally as the menu Search Channel does.
