Description Alan Prescott 2021-03-10 09:23:19 UTC
SUMMARY
It would be really handy if Marble could show or accept multiple formats for position when adding/editing bookmarks etc.

Currently it has separate fields for degrees, minutes & seconds and displays degrees, minutes and seconds whereas Google Maps (for instance) uses floating point degrees. This is something of a pain when comparing/correcting data between mapping applications.

If the format the user prefers could be specified in settings or (even better) changed on the fly it would be really handy

Inside "Settings->Configure Marble ..." you can change the position formats on the View tab between "Degrees (DMS)", "Degrees (Decimal)" and "UTM Coordinate System". This has been there since a few years already :-)
Changing this will change the position format for the whole application.
