Are you using a distribution package, or the appimage? If the former, please test with the appimage.

Can't reproduce. Consider whether you are really using Enter or Return.

It works as expected with the numpad's enter key, but doesn't with the main keyboard's enter key. Whether one of them is actually a return key, I cannot say, the both say 'enter'.

I am using the appimage.

Then it is highly possible it is a bug. However, I do not have a device with a numpad, so guess no luck for me.

As Halla's question is already answered above, changing this back to Reported.

With the 4.4.2 appimage on Debian 10:

My keyboard has a numpad and renaming a group layer works with the numpad 'Enter' key and the main typing area 'Enter'key.

According to the keyboard shortcuts configuration facility, the typing area 'Enter' key is recognised as "Return" and the numpad 'Enter' key is recognised as "Enter".

And just as this error has appeared, it has vanished. Now I can rename group layers just fine. Weird.
