Do you remember if there was a kernel update at the same time as you got the Plasma 5.21 update?
Not sure about bugfix versions, but minor version didn't changed Too much time passed since update, but 5.10 kernel released later than plasma
Created a new user, everything works like it should. Which config files can be related to power button behavior? I want try to remove it and see what happens, because resetting to default all energy saving page didn't work
Same bug on Fedora 33. After chaning default action I no longer able to configure power button action. No matter what action I choose every press of power buttons results in permanent PC power off without any confirmation or anything. It works as expected (configured to no action) before I started to change this option.
FYI: After sending PC to sleep and waking it up - power button starts working as configured in the settings.
Same bug can be reproduced on Fedora 34.
