SUMMARY 1. There are multiple scrolling inconsistencies when confirming faces. Basically, for large groups of face confirmation, the scroll is reset to the top page after the processing is done. 2. When correcting an "unconfirmed" face to a new name, the new name is set by default for the rest of the "confirmation phase". This is quite convenient sometimes, and at the same time, it led to many mistakes as I was expecting the other faces to remain in a given state of "unconfirmed Person X", since I was in the tab of that "Person X". So when I correct someone, I have to find one already correct PersonX to reset the default value to "Person X" and not "Person Y". 3. There is a confusion between existing Tags prior to DigiKam imports and after face tagging. For instance, I had manual people tags in my library. And thus, multiple manual people tag were associated to one picture. At some point, when I confirmed "Person X", it was not stored in "People/Person X" but rather in "Person X", because the tag already existed. I moved it to "People/Person X", but then I realized that all the co-tagged people from my previous tagging work would be considered as People/Person X. 4. There is no simple option to correct a wrongly confirmed person, is there? Other than removing the tag and doing another round of recognition? I would love to have a drag and drop option from one person to the other. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS macOS: latest ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
We already have feedback and corresponding bug reports for all 4 points. I close the bug as a duplicate of point 1. Maik *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 402322 ***
to point 3) digiKam can merge double tags, this also includes the face tags. Simply drag and drop one person onto another and select "Merge". Maik
to point 4) this is currently only possible in the image preview function, click on the name label and change the name. Maik
