SUMMARY
I've been using Kdenlive for a few years now and recently used Premiere again for my job. I still love Kdenlive, but I think there are a few features that Kdenlive could benefit from to make video editing more efficient. If these features already exist, please let me know!

JUMP TO NEXT/PREVIOUS CUT
In Premiere, you can use the up and down arrow keys to quickly move the playhead to the next cut/beginning of the next clip. Here is an example: https://youtu.be/q_hqU-BidM0?t=78.

RIPPLE EDIT
This allows you to shorten or extend the beginning or end of a clip while moving the following clips with it. This would save users from having to trim clips and then use the Spacer tool by combining the two actions together. On Premiere, it's called the Ripple Edit Tool. Here is an example: https://youtu.be/iGQ6GYDlqGY?t=92. It would also be great if the ripple edits could be done one frame at a time using the arrow keys.

ADJUSTMENT LAYERS
In Premiere, Adjustment Layers are like transparent clips that can be placed on the timeline. When you add effects to this Adjustment Layer, the effects are automatically applied to all the clips below it in the timeline. The nice thing about Adjustment Layers is that you can easily apply a series of effects to multiple clips. Also, if you are stuck between two looks, you can create different Adjustment layers, and easily try them them out on your clips without having to go in and manually delete the effects from each of your clips. Using this would be a lot faster and more precise than saving effect stacks or applying master effects to an entire track. More on that here: https://motionarray.com/learn/premiere-pro/premiere-pro-adjustment-layer/

EXTEND EDIT
This extends an edit to the playhead. In Premiere, this is done by pressing "E". More on that here: https://premiereprotricks.com/extend-edit-keyboard-shortcut-in-adobe-premiere-pro/

OPENING MULTIPLE SEQUENCES
I believe this has been asked before, but it would be great if we could open more than one project at a time in Kdenlive, and access them all through tabs. I love that we can import existing projects into the Project bin, but I think that being able to open multiple project within Kdenlive could be handy.

Thanks for your feedback, here is the current status regarding your questions:

* Moving to next/previous cut can be achieved with ALT+Left/Right arrows.
* Ripple edit is on our roadmap
* Adjustment layers: I agree this is a handy feature. There is currently no way to achieve this easily in our video backend but we have room for improvement in how we manage effects. For example effects can have an in/out point, so we could implement a way to apply an effect on all clips in the timeline in a certain zone... that would be a start, I will think about it.
* Extend edit: nice idea, this could easily be implement.
* Multiple sequence edit: on our roadmap, probably for the august release of Kdenlive 21.08

Extend edit is already possible as far as I understood: the actions are called "Resize Item Start" and "Resize Item End" the default shortcuts are "(" and ")". Please try whether this is what you meant…

Thank you for the first tip Jean-Baptiste! I'm learning new things about Kdenlive every day. :D It's exciting to hear that some of these are on Kdenlive's radar.

WOW, thank you Julius! This is exactly what I meant, I just had no clue it existed already.

Looks like 21.12 beta has ripple trimming and also slip trimming: https://kdenlive.org/en/2021/11/kdenlive-21-12-beta-out-for-testing/

Note that it would be best to use one report per request.

Slip and ripple will come with 21.12.0.

Adjustent layer: you can do similar with https://docs.kdenlive.org/en/effects_and_compositions/effects.html#effect-zones.

Nested timeline is on the roadmap.
