SUMMARY So i have been trying to apply "typewriter" effect for 2 days but nothing seems to work....it just shows 4 lines running continously.... STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add Title clip 2. add text 3. paste it to the timeline and add effect typewriter (which doesnt work) OBSERVED RESULT typewriter effect applies but i cant adjust the frames or speed of it EXPECTED RESULT i want to adjust the frame rate and speed of the character showing one after another SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: 20.12.2 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We planned to add it for 21.04 but I added a fix to support the effect with upcoming version 20.12.3 To use the effect with your current version try to copy the attached file to ~/.local/share/kdenlive/effects/ P.S. more advanced options like typewriter for single text elements within a title are coming soon.

Bugfix release 20.12.3 is planned for the end of next week, the next big release is 21.04 in april. Kdenlive is a KDE software and follows the KDE release cycle: https://community.kde.org/Schedules
