Description Kurpfaelzer 2021-02-22 16:48:29 UTC
SUMMARY
This is not a bug - this is a request for updated documentation.

Face tagging has been greatly improved in the meantime.
Unfortunately, the official documentation for this no longer corresponds to the current status (Rev. 5.9 / April 2018).
Even the documentation in the digiKam Recipes Book is actually outdated.
In this respect, I would very much appreciate it if the basic procedure and the various options available for face tagging could be described in an actual document.
It would actually be enough if a rough description were possible.
I realize that the developers need their time to program, but as a user you are also happy about a good description.
Thank you for your understanding.

Greetings, Stephan

Yes, writing the documentation takes a lot of time - which we as developers don't have enough. But what is more important, you should speak and write native English for the documentation. Otherwise, the translators have more work to do with digiKam, because due to the large number of technical words, the translator must be familiar with the technical terms used in photography.

So if someone writes native English and would like to complete the documentation, please contact us.

This bug report is a duplicate of bug 238802, I will close it as a duplicate in a few days.
