SUMMARY
when maximising window from quarter or half tiled position using modkey+arrows, window titlebar fonts and buttons get distorted - stretched or compressed.  

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open any window
2. winkey + arrow keys to set window to quarter of the screen
3. Maximise window using winkey+arrows

OBSERVED RESULT

Fonts and buttons in title bar get distorted/stretched/compressed. 

EXPECTED RESULT

Fonts and buttons maintain their shape when window size changes

Yeah, it's using a stretch effect on a still image of the window's contents for the animated transition.

What would you recommend doing instead?

The animation wasn't getting completed and getting stuck distorted. I have restarted X server and can't reproduce it any more. Apologies, its my first bug report!
