Unnatural extra arrow key press after search

SUMMARY
When I perform a search and get multiple results, I now have to make an extra arrow key press first to move the focus from the input field to the first result, and only then I can move the selection to the second result. My muscle memory from the past Kickoff and App Dasboard conflicts with this: a single arrow key press there selects the second result. This seems more natural: if you need the first result, you just press Enter; if you need the second result, you press arrow and then Enter. In the new Kickoff, "Enter" and "arrow, Enter" now do the same, which is weird and redundant.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch Kickoff and search for something that gives multiple results
2. Press "Down" or "Up" on your keyoard, depending on launcher locaton, in the direction of the second result

OBSERVED RESULT
First result is still selected

EXPECTED RESULT
Second result should now be selected
