OBSERVED RESULT The event details viewer box on the left remains empty, as the pop-up appearing when right-clicking. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.10.15-1-MANJARO KOrganizer Version 5.16.2 (20.12.2)
Can't reproduce. Are you using breeze?
Nope, but changing my global theme to Breeze does not change anything.
I can't reproduce it either. Has the item viewer on the left or the "Afficheur" dialog worked for you in the recent past? Please try clicking and dragging across the body of the dialog, Control-C copying, and paste into another program. If pasting inserts text, then your foreground and background text colors are out of whack. If pasting doesn't insert text, something may have gone wrong during template substitution. Try launching KOrganizer in Konsole. Does KOrganizer print any messages when you ask it to show the dialog?
The item viewer on the left worked perfectly fine up until a few days ago. I am pretty sure that the foreground and background text colors did not cause the problem, because that same item viewer on the left showed the default text ("no item selected" (translated from my locale)). P.S.: I wrote that "the event details viewer box on the left remains empty", but it has actually always showed the default text, which was simply not getting modified after clicking on an event. Sorry for that inaccuracy. The right-clip pop-up, however, was indeed empty. That being said, after having rebooted my computer I find myself unable to reproduce the bug...
Can you reproduce this problem now, or did it go away?
Nope, it went away, sorry :(
I'm having the same problem on 23.08.0. Another fresh installation does not have the issue, so I'm investigating which part of the configuration affects this. Any ideas?
The cause was that kcalutils was missing. An error message about missing kcalendar_grantlee_plugin provided the hint.
