Description Robert David 2021-02-15 09:45:05 UTC
It would be nice to have kde-frameworks/ktexteditor as an option for composer editor.

It is much more powerful then the integrated editor, and could provide such things like vi-mode, highlighting, etc.

Using Kate as external editor is not an answer to this (personally I use gvim as external editor now). KTextEditor is part of KDE ecosystem and seems to be plausible to use it where more complex text editing is needed.

Hello,
The short anwser: "no sorry"

Long answer: It needs to port all plugins to ktexteditor so a big work.
It doesn't have support for html mode.
Regards.
