SUMMARY When I "share my screen" in Firefox and select a minimized window, the screen freezes. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Join a Jitsi video conference (meet.jit.si) in Firefox. 2. Click "Share my screen", then select a window that is minimized. OBSERVED RESULT The screen freezes, but I can still talk to the other people in the conference. I can also move the cursor, but other than that interaction with the graphical session becomes impossible. I have to hard-reboot the system. EXPECTED RESULT Nothing I do in Firefox should lead to the entire session freezing like that. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.10.0-1-amd64 OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1505M v5 @ 2.80GHz Memory: 31,2 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics P530 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I am using X11.
Is it still an issue? I can't reproduce it because firefox doesn't let share minimized windows
I switched to wayland where screen sharing works very differently -- I just tried selecting a minimized window and it worked fine,
