SUMMARY System is 64 bit CentOS 7 the Linux kernel is version 3.10.0-1160.11.1.el7.x86_64 Installed okular using snap (link below). Okular is installed in Applications > Office , however clicking the Okular button in the location does nothing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. installed following steps via https://snapcraft.io/install/okular/centos 2. Applications > Office > okular does not open when clicked. 3. Can not open .djvu or .pdf documents using okular OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS CentOS 7 Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: I got gnome. (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION sorry, im new to linux. I couldnt find all the information needed in the previous section.
We have had this tested on neon and on centos and it works fine. do reopen if you have any more information on what might be up.
Hello Jonathan Riddell, Thanks for your comment. I did not manage to run it yet. So should I just ditch snapcraft and try something else? Also, what is the correct way of installation if not via snapcraft.io page that i shared? Btw what is neon here? Warm regards,
Please install the latest from the snap store ( 22.08.2 ) https://snapcraft.io/okular If it doesn't open via icon then... Open a terminal and type /snap/bin/okular and provide terminal output.
