SUMMARY
I have a fairly normal i7 6500U laptop connected to my new 27GN850 monitor.

OBSERVED RESULT
Internal display is reported to support 60 and 120 Hz, while external is 60Hz only.

EXPECTED RESULT
Except perhaps when I lower resolution of the external monitor (HDMI 1.4 cannot get past 10gb/s bandwidth) 120Hz shouldn't be reported anywhere.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.11-rc3
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
My first boot with this screen also defaulted to 4K resolution for some reason (despite it not being the native one), but idk what else to add here.

Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Can we ask you to please check if this is still an issue with Plasma 5.25 or 5.26?

If it is, please change the status to CONFIRMED when replying. If not, or if you can't because you no longer use this setup, you can change the status to RESOLVED WORKSFORME. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the much needed nag bot...
I can in fact report that my internal monitor is reported to be just 60Hz, while my external one is 30Hz in 4K, 60Hz-only in 1440p and up to 120Hz in full hd too. It was a 4 months old manjaro live iso, but it seemed to be good enough still.

Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.15.60
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.6
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.96.0
