STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. start Wayland session 2. open Spectacle and make sure "Take a new screenshot" option is selected under "While Spectacle is running > Press screenshot key to:" in its settings 3. press printscreen key while Spectacle is open OBSERVED RESULT Spectacle displays an inline error message: "Could not take a screenshot. Please report this bug here: create a spectacle bug". Happens to me too (bug 433530), but even when Spectacle is closed or when I `kill -9` the spectacle process.
