Created attachment 135179 [details] Screen shot of Pythin Plugin Manager showing no plugins. SUMMARY No Plugins STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT Python Plugin Manager should show a list of pre-installed pluins. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 64 macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION As a new Krita user, I watched two tutorials which mentioned Pre-installed plugins. Each video showed a list of plugins to activate. In my case, after downloading and installing Krita from the Krita site both in 4.2.2 and the previous version I see no plugins at all (see attached screen shot). I went to Settings > Configuration... > Python Plugin Manager. Also I get no results going to Tools > Scripts.
The reporter said: "I install my programs in my large D: drive as my SSD C: drive is rather small. That is the problem. When Installed to the C: drive I got the plugins. Perhaps this may be something you want to check into, as I would think there are others who would prefer to install to a drive other than C:." https://krita-artists.org/t/apparent-bug-no-pre-installed-plugins/17558
I don't have a windows system with more than one drive... But that would make it a bug in QStandardPaths::standardLocations, since that's what's used to find the plugins. And if that's broken, brushes and so on wouldn't be loaded either.
Checked with 4.4.8 on windows 10 with a install to my D:\ folder and it works correctly. The Python runtime does find its packages without issue. Closing as WORKSFORME.
