Scribus maximized window bigger than screen

When I open Scribus and maximize the window, it became bigger than screen height, and there is no way to work with the app on KDE plasma. See attached image for more info.
I reported the bug to Scribus and someone replied that it's KDE problem.

That's not what they said. They talk about Qt, not KDE

Isn't window maximization process managed by Plasma desktop ?

Not being a user of Scribus, I'm having a hard time seeing what's wrong with the screenshot. Can you point out the error?

Here's a screenshot, I hope it clarifies the problem :)

Ah I see!

I have a hard time seeing how this could be KWin's fault. It seems more likely that Scribus has a some kind of window sizing metrics that get triggered when maximized. KWin can't alter the window content by itself. I'd suggest resuming the downstream discussion in the Scribus bug report you filed. Thanks!

It seems the bug is caused by KDE plasma, because I run the same version 1.5.6 both on Windows 10 and Ubuntu Mate 18.04.5 and there's no problem when the app is maximzed. Only KDE causes the maximized app to be bigger than screen height. See attached images for more info.

Are you using Wayland? We have a report of the same thing on Wayland in Bug 432326.

Is workaround with restore/maximize works for this case?

No it doesn't work at all, I tried to play with maximize/minimize buttons and resizing and dragging, but nothing works.
