SUMMARY
Using an nvidia wayland session, kicker never renders search results

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start a nvidia wayland session
2. Open kicker 
3. Type in a search (e.g. Firefox)

OBSERVED RESULT
Everything above the search box in kicker will vanish, as if waiting for a particularly intensive search to complete.

EXPECTED RESULT
The results appear as quickly as they would under X11.

The Nvidia driver had some huge changes and how it interacts with KWin. Please try again and file new bugs as appropriate thank you!
