ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Alex 2021-01-25 13:47:44 UTC
The problem already exist in version 20.12.0 (on windows)
It seems to be an enconding problem of the <project_name>.srt file.

Workaround : Change the encoding of characters (ie : with notepad++) of the ".srt" file : from UTF-8 to UTF-8-BOM (or vice versa) before opening kdenlive.
Comment 2 Holger 2021-01-25 14:02:20 UTC
Hi Alex, your workaround works perfect for me. I just changed it to UTF-8-BOM and it works.
Thanks !
