SUMMARY The icons only task manager, when default PINNED apps such as dolphin in manjaro, etc, are unpinned, they are back upon next session after reboot. Task manager also has issue disappearing after using edit mode to adjust, move or resize the spacer and minimized app can only be recovered using switcher or invoke alt+tab. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Unpin default app icons 2. Enter edit mode for icons only task manager and move/resize spacer, rearrange any open or pinned task to left or right of spacer, or even sys tray. 3. Attempt to minimize and recover windows, reboot or restart session. OBSERVED RESULT Minimized apps will no longer be visible, must use alt+tab to recover. System tray applet is in different state or position, previously unpinned apps reappear on new session and must unpin again. EXPECTED RESULT minimized apps to remain in task manager, unpinned apps to not reappear, not to have to use edit mode upon each login to reset desired state of toolbars, widgets etc. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.9.16-1-Manjaro (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Are we talking about pinned Task Manager icons, or standalone launcher applets?
Created attachment 135099 [details] attachment-13098-0.html Thank you for the reply. Manjaro Plasma has pinned default shortcuts for dolphin etc. and when unpinned upon reboot they are reappearing. Any active app was minimizing to nowhere and had to be recovered by alt+tab. I solved this by removing all objects from the main task bar and adding each applet/widget such as launcher and system tray, re-sorting it all out from scratch. Hmm, that's odd. You shouldn't need to use a workaround like that. I don't think we've gotten any other bug reports like this so I wonder if Manjaro's Breath Global theme is at fault. Could you try again with the Breeze global theme and see if it still happens? Thanks!
