Thanks for reporting. Issue is known and should be fixed with upcoming version 20.12.2. Try with the 20.12.1b install version from here: https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/kdenlive-20.12.1b.exe
To me it seems that this is fixed. Can you please test with the latest version (https://kdenlive.org/download/) and close this report if it is not relevant anymore?
