Description Max Buchholz 2021-01-12 13:54:09 UTC
SUMMARY
When i try to connect to my calendar at gmx.de, I get a warning, that no authentification is needed and afterwards nothing happens

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open KOrganizer
2. Add a new calendar
3. chooose groupware and caldav option, and choose custom server
4. Enter credentials and try to add a server
5. Enter the address from gmx: https://caldav.gmx.net
6. Hit okay
7. Accept warning, that no authentification is needed.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT
It should search for the server and add it

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.77.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Comment 1 Axel Schwank 2021-10-23 18:17:38 UTC
Same behaviour in version 5.14.2, KDE Frameworks 5.71.0, Qt 5.12.7
Comment 2 Axel Schwank 2021-11-02 19:53:37 UTC
Of course, it can be considered that there is something wrong on the server side. But the same CalDAV resource works with other clients, e.g. the iOS calendar.

I know its been a very long time but..

can you verify if this still happens for you with KOrganizer and Frameworks 6.12 or higher?
Comment 5 Allen Winter 2025-07-02 16:55:11 UTC
no response since 4 weeks. also this version is no longer maintained => closing

feel free to re-open if this is still happening with a more modern KOrganizer (like version 6.4 or newer)
