Description disuser 2021-01-10 07:31:00 UTC
Feature request: drag and drop plots to rearrange them within the same worksheet.

I don't see any way to organize plots within the same worksheet.

My earlier comment is somewhat misleading. Of course, I know that it is possible to change the size and relative positions of plots. However, it seems that we could organize plots within a worksheet very much faster, if there was a way to rearrange and resize the worksheet and plots with the help of a mouse.

If a layout is active, the plots are automatically positioned depending on their position in the list of children of the parent worksheet. To change this order you can use the "Drawing Order"-options in the context menu of a plot. I'm not sure how the drag&drop should behave if the layout is active. Changing the position in the project explorer (without changing the current parent) via drag&drop would make sense.

If no layout is active (select "No Layout" for this), you can freely move and re-size the plots. At the moment the resize is only possible by changing the size values in the properties explorer. Resizing directly with the mouse is not implemented yet but we want to add this for the next release.

I wasn't aware of the functionality that you have described. What I have in mind is an option to shuffle plots within the structure of an active layout in a similar way as you can rearrange PDF pages in PDF Shuffler. For example, watch this:
