Created attachment 134615 [details] dolphinrc SUMMARY When closing apps like dolphin or Konsole and opening them again they restore in a pretty small form factor not remembering their original sizes. This happens on X11 for me with Tumbleweed (most current version). Attached you find my dolphinrc file (I already tried moving it to start clean, but that did not help). This is probably strongly related to, maybe even a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427875 (and possibly https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426813).

Created attachment 134617 [details] discoverrc Discover works, though so adding a clean rc file for that as well (after opening Discover, maximizing the window and closing again). Interestingly that file appears much more simple than the ones from applications where restoring does not work.
Created attachment 134618 [details] dolphinrc after maximizing Sorry, the old dolphinrc attachement apparently was not taken after maximizing the window, so here another one after having maximized the window.
The maximized part might be solved by https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/kconfig/-/merge_requests/37, I'll try to test when frameworks 5.78 land. The other issue with Konsole not remembering when changing the window size probably has a different cause, though.
Please file different bugs for different apps. Dolphin uses the standard frameworks-provided stuff while Konsole does some processing. So the fact that this is happening for both of them is likely a coincidence. Let's get new bug reports, one for each app. Thanks!
Also Discover uses its own system totally disconnected from the standard frameworks size and position restoration (which is not yet available to QML-based apps).
Didn't know that and thought maybe the same bug got introduced by the "remember position and size" feature. Will file separate reports, then.
