SUMMARY
If you have images archive on external drive and connect external drive to another your Mac you can  see the images but after double click on image you will receive a message to reconstruct the path. This is correct but if you try to import new images no warning message is shown. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. connect external archive to another your Mac
2. import new images in root archive on external drive
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
nothing

EXPECTED RESULT
warning message to connect path archive

Hi and happy new year,

If i understand well your report, you want mean that a warning is missing when you want to use items from a removable collection which is not available (as media is disconnected). Right?

We don't have already a mechanism to report missing items from disconnected collection ?

The import tool warns when trying to select an offline collection for download.
