Any non-text content such as images or colors do render but any text content is missing. This applies only to message body. Message list and other parts of kmail work just fine. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Can you please share what setting you are looking for? Another example of the issue - the email I received from your comment is completely empty. Could you change your colors ? configure->colors->"use custom color" or disable it if it's activated. For me the problem is not rendering is a color problem. Regards

The message preview (as well as opening a message in a new window) is empty - I cannot select any text whatsoever. I also tried removing/reinstalling the themes but the issue persists. Any other ideas? Kind regards
Images and emojis do render hinting it might be a fonts error. Changing message fonts does not fix the issue unfortunately :/ My guess is that I'm having an issue with the message rendered component. Any hints how to debug that? Thanks
UPDATE: I believe the issue is related to `kf5-webengineviewer` library. I am experiencing the same non-rendering behaviour in other apps that do some "rendering" of messages - akregator
I also built kmail from source (including all dependencies) and the issue persists.
Updating to the following versions fixed the issue: KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2
