You are right, I'd rather say the PS backend support is separated as okular-spectre and libspectre is the actual backend. Yes, I'll appreciate it if all the gs stuff is included. I also noticed the latest version of libspectre can be successfully build on Windows. So I guess including libspectre is sort of "possible".
