Uh, I guess if it helps?
Comment 4 Dodger 2021-01-10 10:09:09 UTC
I seriously don't understand how a screenshot is going to help when you don't know which 5 documents I recently had open.
Comment 5 Dodger 2021-01-10 10:09:35 UTC

TWO screenshots in succession may help though.

After the last screenshot was taken, I opened it in Krita to write on it to indicate which file was which. That screenshot file was called "kritabroken.png".

Then I closed it. The "Recent Documents" list now looks like this (note that "kritabroken.png" is the second to last. AVERAGE.JPG is a file that was never opened in Krita, by the way, and the others are in random order.

Importantly, note how this is all random, and this is the *same run* of the Krita application. I opened a file and closed it and the Recent Documents list changed to this from the prior screenshot's contents.
Comment 7 Halla Rempt 2021-01-10 10:49:07 UTC
Please update to the latest version of Krita, which is 4.4.2. I asked for screenshots because your description of the problem was unclear.
Comment 8 Dodger 2021-01-10 11:24:47 UTC
No, my description of the problem was actually perfectly clear.
Comment 9 Dodger 2021-01-10 11:25:23 UTC
"OBSERVED RESULT
Random list of documents that are not the recent ones

EXPECTED RESULT
The last 5 opened documents"

There is absolutely zero ambiguity there.
Comment 10 Halla Rempt 2021-01-10 11:38:21 UTC
In any case, the version of Krita you're using is too old to report bugs against, so I'm closing this bug.
