SUMMARY So I have on each album folder a subfolder with artwork which are image files (.png, .jpg, jpeg and .tiff) and non of those images are embedded to not make the file size of each audio file huge and I would like that instead of showing the blank default icon on each album that maybe it could pick a random image or for the user to specify which image to show like "front.png" and show it as an album cover and when I'm playing a certain album it could shuffle all the images on that subfolder and if I want to see a certain picture double click it and make it open inside elisa or make it open in Gwenview. OBSERVED RESULT Currently this feature in non existing EXPECTED RESULT Playing an album and to see an image then to pass some time and then shuffle to the next one SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: none macOS: none Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.77.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Elisa does already show album art that sits in the same folder as the album's songs. But it doesn't have the ability to select a random file from a sub-folder. That seems like it would be a bit weird. What you can do is move or copy a file out of that folder so that it sits next to the song files, and then Elisa will find it.
