STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. startup elisa 20.12 and choose "all albums" as startup position
2. close Elisa
3. start Elisa

OBSERVED RESULT
Elisa doesn't start in the "All Albums" view

EXPECTED RESULT
Elisa starts up in "All Albums" view

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Huh, works for me. Are you using Elisa in a language other than English? I wonder if this is one of those translated-keys issues.
Comment 2 PK 2020-12-17 05:20:38 UTC
As a matter of fact: I do! I'm using Elisa in the Dutch language.
I also wiped both ~/.local/share/elisa and ~/.config/elisarc and tried again after that but it remained the same.
Comment 3 Nate Graham 2020-12-17 05:31:43 UTC
I'm betting the key stored in the config file is translated rather than being a string literal, but it's late and I will check tomorrow.
Comment 4 PK 2020-12-17 05:44:11 UTC
I changed the line InitialView=AllAlbums to IntialView=Albums. Elisa did react to that: it didn't know so well what to do so it didn't show anything at startup.

Btw: When it IS InitialView=AllAlbums, than Elisa at startup also does show "AllAlbums". But you have to pay attention. It only lasts a split second. After that it goes to Playing Now...
Comment 5 Nate Graham 2020-12-17 19:08:13 UTC
Hmm actually it's not the translation issue I alluded to.

Hi,

I can confirm this bug on Fedora 34.
There is a line "InitialView=AllAlbums" in ~/.config/elisarc. Elisa ignores the choice "All Albums" and starts in "Now Playing".
It works properly when I cahnge the language to English. It doesn't work in other languages like German or Finnish.
