Created attachment 133990 [details] Demonstration of different grid spacing. SUMMARY It seems that Dolphin 20.12.0 has changed the grid spacing in icons mode. I have always been accustomed to the old "middle" spacing, but the new "middle" spacing is too wide while "small" spacing is too narrow. I wonder if there is any plan to implement fine control on grid spacing, provided that there is no way to adjust the default value of "middle" spacing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. +69 I too would like to revert to old medium grid spacing "LABLE WIDTH" .Current One is so unpleasing same goes for Desktop (Icon Lable Sizes are not according to Icon ) .For reference Windows 10 desktop Icon Griding looks Perfect while Plasma Desktop Icons look cartoonish if i set icon size to small or tiny.
For context the change of icon spacing took place in https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/-/merge_requests/89 FYI we have a setting to choose the width of labels in the icon setting : Configure > view modes > label width You should switch it from middle to small.
