SUMMARY On every other platform, drag and drop brings the drop target to the top on hover. Kwin doesn't do this, requiring you to carefully position windows in advance of the DND operation. Surprised it hasn't been reported yet, given that it's such a routine feature. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open two dolphin windows 2. Try to drag a file from one window to another. 3. It's not possible without repositioning the windows. OBSERVED RESULT The window into which you're trying to drop the file doesn't float to the top. EXPECTED RESULT It should float to the top.
Cannot reproduce it on openSUSE TW with Plasma 5.24.0 Wayland: * Two dolphins window open * Drag one file from one window over the taskbar icon: The list of Dolphin windows is shown * Drag it over right item in the list: Dolphin's window is floating on top * Drop the file there
