SUMMARY "Default Durations" set for "Image Clips" does not seem to take effect for images added to video time line STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to menu Settings->Configure Kdenlive... 2. Change Default Durations for "Image clips" to 00:00:00:01 and hit OK 3. Quit and restart Kdenlive 4. Create new project (1080p 29.97 fps) 5. Drag a .jpg or .png to Project Bin 6. Drag that image from Project Bin down to a timeline, either V2 or V1 OBSERVED RESULT 7. The duration of that image is "00:08:20,16"... an odd number EXPECTED RESULT 7. The duration of that image should be that of the default SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: Windows 10 macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION For all I can tell, Image clips duration refers to when you add an image (as opposed to a video clip, which by itself has a length), by default, how long in the time line it is. The number 00:08:20,16 seems very odd. Changing the "default" to 00:00:01:00 doesnt make a difference either. If "Image clip"'s default does not refer to what I expected, I think having a default for that would be useful too.
I think I'm seeing the same thing. I installed Kdenlive 20.08.3 on a new computer recently, and I noticed that the default image duration is 10 minutes 30 seconds now for some reason o.o I tried changing the default image duration per the instructions here: https://kdenlive.org/en/project/configuring-the-default-transition-duration/ But it didn't seem to take any effect.
Just installed and ran 20.12.3. The issue seems to have disappeared (default duration of images apply as expected). I am not sure which exact release the issue went away.
Thank you for the feedback. This issue was fixed with 20.12.2. We close this bug. If it still appears in the latest version, please feel free to re-open it and update the affected version number.
