SUMMARY Both appmenu and Dolphin don't show the latest files. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open an any file; 2. look at recent file list in the start menu and or in Dolphin page; 3. the opened file is not listed. OBSERVED RESULT the recent opened file is not listed EXPECTED RESULT the recent opened file is suddenly listed both on Recent file list in the start menu as well as in Dolphin SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.20 KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.76.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 Kernel Version: 5.4.0-54-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 4 × AMD Athlon(tm) X4 840 Quad Core Processor Memory: 7.8 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Works for me.
Is the issue about the fact that a recent file never appears in the recent list ? - If so that's an application issue, recent files depends on the application to leave a trail of files it access Or that appears but only after a manual refresh ? - If so that is probably a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=428085 solved in KF 5.77
