sound coming from headphones

SUMMARY
When I press play, Elisa starts playing a weird static sound. VLC and MPV work fine. Baloo is turned off.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.Create a symlink for a music folder i.e.  Music -> /home/user/HDD/Music
2.Start Elisa and try to play a song 

OBSERVED RESULT
Elisa plays some weird sound(attachment)

EXPECTED RESULT
Elisa plays the song

I can't reproduce this on a freshly installed system, closing for now.
