Description Riccardo Robecchi 2020-11-26 12:31:45 UTC
SUMMARY
Ksysguard is consistently using around 30% CPU on my laptop (Ryzen 5 2500U) when viewing the process table tab. If I select another tab, e.g. system load, the process goes down to around 15%. While the latter figure is still high, it's still half than the other. This also has the effect of making the CPU ramp up the frequency, and therefore also power draw and temperature.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open Ksysguard

OBSERVED RESULT
Ksysguard uses around 30% CPU when viewing the process table tab.

EXPECTED RESULT
Ksysguard does not use that much CPU to display a list of processes.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: KDE neon Focal
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.76.0
Qt Version: 5.15.1
