Overview of current "konversation" & "konv_message" icon variants

Konversation uses an icon named "konv_message" for the system tray entry to signal the state of having new messages waiting to be read.
Whereas the normal state is reflected by an "konversation" icon, so using the application icon.

Matching icon files are installed by Konversation itself for the "hicolor" theme, and Plasma Frameworks has Desktop Theme icon overlay for both "konv_message" and "konversation" for the Breeze & Air styles.

But the Breeze Icon theme itself is missing an icon "konv_message" so far.

There is an additional issue: the current "konversation" app icon when designed in 2015 and with the intention to use the Breeze style one also as official Konversation app icon, failed to land with the very same versions in the repositories of both Breeze Icons and Konversation. See commits
https://invent.kde.org/network/konversation/-/commit/c64d1cd32445f6921109fdbdb17ae44378d404c5 and https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/breeze-icons/-/commit/7ba9222ed7dc8b841c22542a137af0aa7f8df8f6

So the plan is to update the copy in the Konversation repository to the one of the Breeze Icons one. But for that we need a "konv_message" icon matching the current Breeze Icons one in style.

See attached overview of the current icons present in Breeze Icons, Konversation & Plasma Frameworks Desktop styles.

I have to say I like the colors of the hicolor icon much more. So what about going the other way around and moving the hicolor ones to breeze?

No personal opinion what to prefer. All I want is to resolve that seemingly accidental diff between the Breeze variant and the Konversation variant :)

For the record, the Breeze "konversation" icon changed from the copy added to the konversation repository to the one now found with the Breeze icon set in a commit found here, with mention in the commit message "changed Konversation's gradients": https://github.com/Andreas-Kainz/breeze-icon-theme/commit/9652f227f20b9c77d63754b27f02666438fccd65

When it comes to (inactive) maintainers' opinions, when I asked Eike in October his direct response was "Go for the Breeze one I'd say".
My opinion aligns there, as the old copy in Konversation repo is Breezish-but-not-fully, and either it should be Breezish or not, so IMHO the icon copy should be synced to the real Breeze icon.
