I obviously don't have a spanish hardware keyboard, but if I add a spanish keyboard layout and switch to that, the Delete key still deletes the reference
image.

Deleting reference images is also nothing special, it uses the default deleteSelection method that all tools use, so does deleting vector shapes work for you?
Comment 2 Felix 2020-11-25 18:01:21 UTC
No, I cannot erase entire vectors. I can only delete them node by node, using backspace (remove point default shortcut).

I can delete layers, using shift + del (shift + del).

I have noticed that if I change the remove layer shortcut, to simply delete (del), there is no warning that this shortcut is being used by another option (although it is also true that I have not found the possibility of changing the remove vector shortcut in that menu, only remove point).

Comment 4 Halla Rempt 2022-07-05 08:34:41 UTC
Okay... we might or might not have solved this issue by patching Qt to handle keypresses with non-us keycodes. I needs testing, though.
