SUMMARY The hiding logic doesn't work in my side when I'm trying to refocus on a maximized window after clicking (or focusing on) the panel. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Maximize a window so that it can cover the panel. Now the panel hides itself. 2. Move the mouse to the panel and click it so that it's focused. 3. Try to refocus the maximized window described in step 1 by clicking. OBSERVED RESULT The panel won't hide itself. EXPECTED RESULT The panel should hide itself. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.76.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Can confirm. If I simply mouse over the panel to make it appear, it goes under the maximized window when I click on the maximized window again. But if I click on it, then clicking on the maximized window does not make it go under the window as expected.

I'm afraid the "Windows Can Cover" Panel visibility mode has been removed for Plasma 6 and we aren't planning to bring it back. In its place, we plan to implement an "intelligent auto-hide" or "dodge windows" mode, per Bug 349785. This should hopefully be much better than "Windows Can Cover" ever was, and offer support for its use cases. Thanks for your understanding!
