Description Patrick Silva 2020-11-16 18:11:45 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. insert an optical disc (I tested with a DVD disc)
2. open the inserted optical disc with Dolphin
3. eject the optical disc

OBSERVED RESULT
files view is empty and the location bar displays the mount point of the ejected disc

EXPECTED RESULT
Dolphin should go to Home after we eject an optical disc

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.76.0
Qt Version: 5.15.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Dolphin goes to Home if the disc is unmounted instead of ejected.

Ah, so we need to handle ejection separately from unmounting. How optical media is handled is so confusing to me coming from the mac world where unmounted == ejected 100% of the time.
Comment 2 Patrick Silva 2023-11-17 14:30:48 UTC
Currently Dolphin goes to / and shows an inline message saying "Current location changed, ‘/media’ is no longer accessible." after ejecting a data cd.

Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.245.0
Qt Version: 6.6.0
