Description Germano Massullo 2020-11-16 11:50:48 UTC
Poweroff, reboot, logout Plasma buttons do not work everytime I upgrade the whole KDE Frameworks, and I have to force logout with
$ qdbus-qt5 org.kde.ksmserver /KSMServer logout 0 0 0

1) while using a KDE Plasma session, run a system upgrade that upgrades all KDE Frameworks packages
2) Click on Plasma buttons poweroff, reboot, logout, nothing will happen
3) Force logout with command
$ qdbus-qt5 org.kde.ksmserver /KSMServer logout 0 0 0

Plasma 5.20.3
KDE Frameworks 5.76.0
Qt 5.15.1 (compilato con 5.15.1)
Il sistema di finestre xcb

What distro are you using? I feel like I've experienced this occasionally (though not reproducibly) on openSUSE TUmbleweed

Fedora KDE but I installed a more recent KDE Plasma from this Copr repository https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/zawertun/kde/
in order to test some KDE bugreports on lastest KDE version

Does the problem happen if you downgrade the distro's own packages? Because you know if it doesn't I'm gonna put the blame on the packaging in that COPR. :)

At the moment I cannot downgrade because I am running various tests for Wayland
