Description Kasia 2020-11-14 18:54:52 UTC
Hi there,
I am using drawing tablet deco 01 v2 together with Windows 10(x86_64)
Usually, I create simple sketches (300 dpi, A4, nothing advanced). I don't tend to turn off my laptop and I noticed that every time when I re-open Krita to create new project software cannot read the pressure of the tablet - it's like drawing with the mouse. The pressure sensitivity is on in the Krita (I checked), also other programs like Photoshop or Sketchbook work just fine, they can read stylus pressure, while Krita can't. The only solution that I found is when I restart my laptop, but sometimes I have to do it multiple times before Krita starts working again. Do you think you are able to do something about it? My tablet works just fine.

I don't think it's krita that starts working again. It's probably your tablet driver that starts working again after a full restart, or more.

Please go to krita-artists.org and start a topic there in the Support and Advice: Input Device Support category.
That forum is a good place for discussion, help and advice, posting images from testing activity etc.

Hi @Kasia, I'm closing this report because tablet support issues need to be asked on krita-artists.org, like Ahab said.

Last minute advice though (which will hopefully help so you won't need to ask on KA; but if it doesn't help, please ask on KA, not here, because this is a strictly dev-focused website so it has some rules like that, sorry):
- switch between Wintab and Windows Ink in Configure Krita -> Tablet Settings. Then restart your PC.
- reinstall your tablet driver, restart your PC
- if it doesn't help and you still encounter those issues, go to Task Manager and find Services in Advanced view, then find something like "WTabletPro" (I had this for Wacom, for XP Pen it might be XTablet or something else similar).

"switch between Wintab and Windows Ink" - that was the solution! Thank you so much!
