SUMMARY
Error says that I couldn't access "Home"(which is mounted) because I'm not authorized to perform operation.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.Click on an unmounted partition 
2.Click cancel when asked to provide a password 

OBSERVED RESULT
Dolphin says it can't access Home

EXPECTED RESULT
Dolphin says it can't access the unmounted partition

Is/was the disk backing your home partition unmounted?

No, it's a Windows partition which is unmounted.

Ah, I think I see the issue.

The error message is semi-correct in that it can't mount the requested partition because you didn't give it permission. However the name is wrong; it should be telling you that this applies to the disk in question, not /home.
