Description Bollebib 2020-11-10 14:58:59 UTC
When using the scrollwheel above the blending mode you seem to cycle through the blending modes

at first it seems to work well, but i expect to see all the blending modes but it seems a bunch of them are missing and are never shown.

this is really confusing.

On top of this scrolling backwards makes the blending STOP at addition and you cant cycle back anymore when you encounter this edge, this is inconsistent with scrolling down which seems limiteless

These things would need to be solved to make the blending modes feel more consistent to use wiht the mouse wheel

The mouse scrollwheel acts to scroll the contents of the blending mode list if there are modes or groups beyond the top or bottom of the list.

You will stop at the start or end of the list as might be expected for scrolling.
Also, I don't see that any blendng modes are missing, in the Layers docker or in the Brush Blending Mode list.

Can you attach screenshots to illustrate what you mean and what you see?

In my experience it doesn't cycle. It just starts with Normal from Favourities category and if you wheel downwards, it goes through all from Favourities, then though all the categories below it, and then stop at the very bottom (there is lots of modes so you need to wheel a lot; the last mode is Reflect-Freeze from Quadratic, last mode from last category). Modes that are in Favourities are mentioned twice because of that. If you wheel upwards, it shows the last (or rather, first) few modes from Favourities and then stop (at Addition).

I don't see any missing blending modes but mostly because there is so many of them that I haven't checked.

@Bollebib does this explain what you see? If yes, what is the expected behaviour? For it to only scroll through Favourities if the selected mode is from Favourities, or through Quadratic if it's fro Quadratic etc.?
